Welcome to the online presence of the queer.lu project.
Approximately 12 years ago, the last small newspaper dedicated to the LGBTIQ+ community, known as “Pie qui chante,” was published. It was arguably the first or only magazine of its kind, as evidenced by an issue of “De Léinkse Luussert” from 1988, which was published by the “Initiativ Grupp Homosexualitéit Lëtzebuerg” and is now preserved in the Queer Archive of Rosa Lëtzebuerg.
Queer.lu was launched as a project of the Rainbow Center by Rosa Lëtzebuerg. Our mission is to create a platform for the LGBTIQ+ community in Luxembourg where information is shared, and insights into the community are provided. Here on our online presence, you will find a diverse range of content, from meticulously researched articles to photo reports and videos that reflect the diverse life experiences and cultures within the community.
We take pride in being a participatory project where everyone can make their contribution. While our content is crafted by dedicated journalists, we also welcome contributions from community members and other interested individuals. Your opinions and experiences are important to us.
This project is financially supported by the Ministry of Equality of Gender and Diversity and is a testament to our commitment to the rights and well-being of the LGBTIQ+ community in Luxembourg. We advocate for political issues and report on the societal challenges faced by LGBTIQ+ individuals in their daily lives.
We invite you to read our articles, view our photos and videos, and become a part of our diverse and vibrant project. Queer.lu is here to share and celebrate the lives, culture, and concerns of LGBTIQ+ individuals in Luxembourg.
